Resume (in french) : version pdf

Research team : BACCHUS team from INRIA Bordeaux Sud-Ouest

ANR supports : NUMASIS (CIS05), ASTER (CIS06), SOLSTICE (CIS06), PETAL (COS08)

Researchs : I mainly work on high performance parallel solver (PaStiX) for very large sparse linear systems based on block direct method and block ILU(k) iterative method. Main applications for this researchs are simulation codes for electromagnetism with CEA/CESTA (where the Mega-joule laser is being built) and fusion physics with CEA/EURATOM (where the ITER tokamak reactor is being built). I also work on domain decomposition method applied to neutron physics with EDF. Finally, I contributed to model pipelined algorithms, especially for optimizing communication overlap and scheduling (Opium).

Teaching : I am associate professor at Bordeaux University, with a teaching duty in professionnal licence at the computer science departement. I am director of the professionnal licence at Bordeaux University since 2007. I give classes on advanced databases, distributed programming and load balancing and scheduling techniques (the latter being given at ENSEIRB engineering school). I also give classes on advanced databases in foreign countries: licence students at Libreville, Gabon in 2006 and master students at Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam in 2008. I regulary supervised students of research master or of ENSEIRB final term project. Since 2006, I am supervising 2 PhDs.
