After a short time they go again unnoticed to most observers.

The same trick can be applied in music: a held key or melody may be played in synch with other instruments, creating a hard-to-notice chorus, which may be seen as the musical equivalent to camouflage. Then, more or less suddenly, the key-melody could get out of synch, either by being pitched, or by changing its tempo, or by introducing dissonances. Later it could go back to normal, and quickly again get unnoticed.

Playing with such on and off games, maybe with multiple melodies, could be the basis of a musical piece, which starts with a simple theme, gets augmented with blended impulsed of intensities, progressive creation of dissonant melodies or complex rythm patterns, and where eventually everything gets focused together as in a caustic of high intensity.

In nature, some animals adopt a camouflage to avoid being seen by predators.
