2025 Agrégation Jury

(23 June 2025)

Since 2022, France has finally established an external computer science agrégation. I remember my own computer science classes in middle school (on PCs with 5"1/4 floppy disks and MO5/TO7 machines)....

To ensure a smooth transition after the holidays, what could be more interesting than participating in a panel discussion on AI in a caring and citizen-oriented context, behind a few bales of hay. I had the great pleasure of discovering the Nouvelles Confluences day organized by Lot et Garonne (press information in Sud Ouest).

I was invited on behalf of the regional AI research network (R3IA) and the Trustworthy AI Chair (Chaire Fondation Bordeaux Université).

The discussions highlighted the importance of anchoring AI progress in emancipation with a focus on equity. This also raised questions about the role of researchers in their choices (the end does not justify the means, ethics is not just a value to be achieved, but to be respected) as well as their role in educating citizens about these new technologies. Essential ingredients for trust, but ones that cannot (yet?) be put into algorithms!

General session

A true democratic breath with humanistic and constructive debates, far from what one can sometimes hear on more mainstream media. A real concern to understand and discuss.

This day was organized alongside the festivities in Agen (a great festive and musical moment, with beautiful encounters!).
