Thank you Alexandre Laurent for the show and the excellent debate around generative AI in the new TV7 filming studios.
There is a great need for trust in these new AIs at the heart of the current buzz (the Trustworthy AI chair at the Bordeaux University Foundation is precisely interested in this). This trust quickly becomes crucial as soon as we want to put them into production beyond their fun side!
I realize with each intervention how many misconceptions people still have about these AIs. I also discover each time how the notion of trust itself takes on different aspects depending on the interlocutors (data, GDPR, security, safety, network failures, private data, available and documented source code, absence of bias, auditability, understandable explanations, …) and that we probably need to start by defining what we mean by trust before debating (mine is very specific, very much linked to the notion of formal proof). We have enough definition problems as it is with the usual problem of defining what artificial intelligence itself is (or even intelligence alone)!
The replay of the show is available if you are curious and also want to learn more about CES 2023.
Around the table hosted by Alexandre Laurent, you can see in this nice selfie, Laura Bokobza from LBK Consulting, Antoine Lamarche, director of Digital Aquitaine, Jérôme Leleu, CEO of SimforHealth.
This first show for me was also an opportunity to visit the TV7 studios, in the Sud-Ouest building. Thanks again for the discussions and this lovely invitation.
