After several years of work, including the initial research topics, sponsorship arrangements, meetings with future sponsors, the foundation’s gala, and numerous interventions on this subject, the Trustworthy AI Chair was finally launched on June 26, 2023.
It’s a long journey that ensures the proper functioning of such projects. First, drafting a preliminary project to submit to the foundation’s board, and then, once approved, meeting with sponsors to present the spirit and ideas behind this chair, which combines research, teaching, and broader public actions.
This launch day is an opportunity to highlight the sponsors who took the risk of embarking on this adventure with us and to present the chair’s roadmap.
Thanks to the sponsors, particularly:
- Athome Solution, co-leader, Tiphaine BICHOT
- CATIE, general director, Bertrand CASTAGNET
- Fieldbox, VP Data Science, Julien BUDYNEK
- Floa, chief Data Science Officer, Virginie LANGE
- Talan, regional director Nouvelle-Aquitaine, Raphaël HEINRY
- Guy Hoquet Immobilier
After a word from each sponsor, we presented a series of scientific presentations in front of a full amphitheater.
- Toufik AHMED, ENSEIRB-MATMECA – Bordeaux INP, deputy director
- Véronique PALLET, Bordeaux INP, vice-president in charge of research and transfer
- Xavier BLANC, University of Bordeaux, director of LABRI
- Olga BATTAÏA, KEDGE Business School, associate dean for research
- Charlyne QUERCIA, Bordeaux University Foundation, general director
- Francois PELLEGRINI, University of Bordeaux, university professor and vice-president of CNIL
Many thanks, especially to François Pellegrini for agreeing to speak about trust on this occasion!
