On the eve of the official launch of Fête de la Science 2025, and at the offices of the Ministry of Higher Education, I took part in a roundtable organized by the magazine Science et Vie, streamed live on Science et Vie’s YouTube channel about AI. Main question: Where are we going with AI?

Joining me to answer were the magazine’s editor-in-chief (Olivier Carpentier), science journalist Adrien Denèle, and Yann Ferguson (INRIA, LaborIA).

With about thirty subscribers drawn at random, we continued the discussions after the live stream and the launch of Fête de la Science!

It was a rare opportunity to meet science enthusiasts who knew how to ask the right questions and had the perspective needed to explain the major challenges of AI.

Next step: Science et Vie Junior! That would fulfill a childhood dream!
