When is Shapley Value Computation a Matter of Counting? (Extended Abstract)

Workshop on Explainable Logic-Based Knowledge Representation (XLoKR) 2024

Résumé

This extended abstract provides context for and a summary of our PODS’24 paper, which contains results on the complexity of Shapley value computation (SVC) of queries in the database setting and the relationship of SVC to probabilistic query evaluation and generalized model counting. These results laid key foundations for our KR’24 paper on SVC in ontology-mediated query answering.
