Research topics

My main research topic is related to scheduling. Scheduling is concerned with the allocation of scarce or limited resources to activities with some objectives in mind. By changing the resources, activities, or objectives, we find ourselves with a different scheduling problem to solve. My personal goal is to make computing more sustainable by making the best use of existing resources (computing, storage, network, etc.), by limiting the new resources we require, and by educating people to avoid systemic effects (for instance, rebound effects).

In the past, I have worked for multiple years in topics related to circuit legalization acceleration, GPU reliability, load balancing for iterative applications, scheduler standardization, and thread and data mapping.

I also enjoy collaborating punctually on topics where my knowledge can help achieve better final results. For instance, I have previously collaborated in topics related to cloud cost modeling, hardware value reuse, I/O optimization, precise trajectory similarity acceleration, scheduling for soft real-time game engines, and tensor-train contraction acceleration.
