HCW 2025

Diane Orhan, Yacine Idouar, Laércio Lima Pilla, Adrien Cassagne, Denis Barthou and Christophe Jégo received the best paper award at HCW 2025 (Heterogeneity in Computing Workshop), a workshop organized in conjunction with the IPDPS conference.

The paper entitled “Scheduling Strategies for Partially-Replicable Task Chains on Two Types of Resources” presents scheduling algorithms (one optimal and two heuristic) aimed at maximizing throughput and minimizing energy consumption of task chains on heterogeneous processors. These processors, containing more powerful and energy-hungry cores (p-cores or big cores) and more efficient cores (e-cores or little cores), are increasingly present in all types of computers.
This research was carried out as part of Diane Orhan's doctorate.
Four of the authors are or were members of the SATANAS department.
