The detection of sleepiness in the voice: this is the subject of Vincent Martin's thesis (I&S department), under Jean-Luc Rouas supervision.

What are we talking about?
Excessive daytime sleepiness (EDS), which affects nearly one in five French people, is a symptom that increases the risk of road accidents in people who suffer from it. The objectives of this research are to detect it by identifying markers in the voice. The ultimate goal would be to integrate such a system into a virtual medical assistant, thus facilitating the follow-up of patients at home.
