The LaBRI and its regional partners are among the five projects selected by GENCI and CEA to host a local branch of the national “Maisons du Quantique” network. This network aims to develop hybrid high-performance/quantum computing as part of the HQI (France Hybrid HPC Quantum Initiative) program launched in 2022. It provides access to the national HQI hybrid computing platform and three years' co-financing for academic and industrial research projects.
Three themes will be given priority in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region: quantum chemical physics and quantum field theory, quantum convex optimization, quantum error correction and cryptography. At LaBRI, the departments involved are CombAlgo (ICQ team) and Satanas. Regional partners include the University of Bordeaux (LaBRI, LOMA), the University of Limoges (XLIM), the Institut d'Optique Graduate School, CNRS, ALPHA-RLH, and industrial partners Alstom, Ceva Santé Animale and Saft.
